PINOT GRIS 2025

An endearing and layered wine, with diverse aromatics of nougat, nashi pear, vanilla custard and white flowers. The palate is generous, where ripe fruit and texture create richness, yet balance with very fine minerality and a touch of residual sugar to bring the wine to a memorable finish.

The first portion of juice is taken to tank and barrels (5%) for a high solids fermentation. This creates texture and palate weight. The balance of juice is gently clarified and fermented in stainless steel (95%) at a low temp for fruit purity and vibrancy.

Vintage

Unseasonal weather through October into January provided abundant yields across the region. The beauty of where our Pinot Gris site is planted and the spur pruning delivers consistently low yields and extraction, but with maximum flavour. Fruit thinning was still carried out to give fruit the best chance to ripen without disease pressure. This Pinot Gris was harvested on the 26th of March from our estate vineyard, Sound of White, by machine in the early hours of the morning.
